Also, if there is an alarm going off for too long - call the police (non-emergency number is 532 3200) that's what they are there for and they don't mind.

Yeah, I probably would've called the cops. That, or I would've grabbed one of my hockey sticks (one of the older ones that were about to break anyhow) and give that car something to be alarmed about! :)
