The Country, Castles and yes more Cows

The weather was just lovely this weekend. I'm trying not to get too accustomed to the warmth and sunshine knowing that at any second it could all go horribly wrong. I always dress in layers and take a hat with me because I've been caught one too many times leaving the flat in glorious sunshine only to walk 2 blocks and get soaked through to the skin by a random rainstorm.

But hey, it makes life interesting.

So this weekends adventure and the next chapter in this little photo blog is the beauty that is Mugdock Country Park.

What a wonderful place!

It has not one but TWO, yes you heard me TWO castles. The first one was Craigend Castle

The second is Mugdock Castle

There are also these old Anti Aircraft Gun Sites that were fun to explore. They were placed there after the Clydebank Blitz

I thought it might make an interesting location for a self portrait as well since I just so happened to have my tripod with me.

And yes, there were Highland cows too.

Don't you just want to take her home and cuddle her?

Oi! I live near Mugdock! It is a beuatiful place (I'm not originally from Scotland - came over in 1993).

What do you think of the election in glasow? I know SNP or Labour will win, but I want the wonderful SSP to win. they posted this quirky video (or am I mistaking quirky for "no money from corporations so their vis look cheap..." lol! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PANKp2fiAZo

Cool blog.

hi chris - 1st, love the castle shots and the sad cow. 2nd, really really loved the abandoned railway tunnels - lonely old places with echoes of the past are huge favorites of mine. 3rd, thanks for the movie tip and 4th, in case you didn't already know - I highly recommend the film "Wall-e" and I believe it opens in your area this weekend - I think you'd enjoy it and when/if you see it, I'd really like to know your thoughts on it.
Thanks, again!

Everyone, just to clarify the coo is NOT sad. Just being very very VERY cute. She had been rolling around on the grass (similar to a cat in a sunbeam) and then looked at me this way and of course I HAD to take a picture of such adorableness.
