Back On-Line Again

It's been close to a month without home internet access. Sure it's easy enough to check emails after hours at the office or in the local i-cafe but it's not the same as being curled up in bed or on the couch under your favorite blanket playing your i-tunes. You can take your time to surf or write that looooong overdue email to a friend

So Saturday afternoon after multiple phone calls to various call centres in different parts of the world the green blinky broadband light on our wireless router finally turned green.

It's the little things in life that make me happy.

So what have I been up to this past month since I last posted? Well there's the work thing that I just don't want to blog about anymore because it's getting repetative. So instead, here are the fun things I've been up to in January and February

A Glasgow Flickr Meet

- a random bunch of camera geeks to get together in the cold, dark, wet, freezing night and take pictures of cars and stuff. Sooooo much fun!

The Move

- it took a number of false starts but everything got moved and we are now relatively settled. But I still have 1 duffle bag to unpack and 1 box.

Some Local Theatre

- went to the Citizens Theatre to see a play called Translations that dealt with the English military coming in and renaming everything in Ireland. Not sure what the deal was with the pink elephants in the theatre lobby though.

Paris

- good food, good wine, good weather

Visitors from Vancouver

- 2 friends from home came to experience winter in Glasgow. And they thought the 4 seasons in one day was just an exaguration.

Pub Quiz

- we came, we drank Guinness, we came in 2nd!

Clothing Swap

- a bunch of girls, some chinese take-a-way and cleaning out our closets

The Birthday Party

- who says you have to be grown up if you turn 40?

The Spontaneous Trip to Edinburgh

- sitting over morning coffee, flipping through a book on the Musee D'Orsey I said to B "Hey, let's go to Edinburgh". So we did. It was fun.

Looks like a couple of fun trips.

Congratulations on coming in 2nd!

I didn't even know that there were Flickr meetings!
